Artesis University College of Antwerp
The Artesis University College of Antwerp is one of the leading schools in Flanders, offering education in a wide variety of disciplines, ranging from architecture to drama, music and dance and from engineering to social work. Currently 6500 students are studying at the Artesis University College of Antwerp in seven departments. Most of these departments are located in the city centre.
The Artesis University College of Antwerp is part of the Association of the Universities and University Colleges of Antwerp. This means that all our students have free access to the universities' library network, can take part in joint research programmes, benefit from teacher mobility programmes and can enrol for any course taught at the University of Antwerp.

Department of Health Care
The department of health care of the Artesis University College of Antwerp offers a transparent, powerful and qualitative learning environment that requires close involvement of all students and focuses on the individuality of each student. Proceeding from that vision the students are offered an individually designed study path: each student is coached individually, with mutual reflection as the basic principle, but is responsible for his own learning process.
All study programmes consciously aim at a balance between knowledge and competence based learning, which means there is a constant alternation between theory and practice. Moreover, all teaching activities are given from a national, international and multicultural point of view. The main goal of the department of health care is to develop each student into a competent and successful practitioner.

Erasmus ID-code
Erasmus students will only be admitted to the department of health care with previous
nomination by the International Office of their home university. The nominee will receive the application form by e-mail. Students wishing to start their Erasmus programme in the first semester (Autumn) should submit their application form by June 15th. The deadline for applications for the second semester (Spring) is November 15th.

Dutch language course
Students participating in international exchange programmes (such as Erasmus) are advised to take a Dutch language course. The preparatory course will improve the academic quality of their study program. This is all the more true for students who will stay an entire academic year at one of the departments of the Artesis University College of Antwerp.
- by the European Commission, through its EILC-programme for smaller languages (such as Dutch) (EILC: Erasmus Intensive Language Courses): http://ec.europa.eu/education/programmes/llp/erasmus/eilc/index_en.html or directly through the following link: http://www.epos-vlaanderen.be/?CategoryID=355.
